§ 36: Family and sexual education
(1) Regardless of the natural education right of parents, family and sexual education is a task of the school. It is to be taught interdisciplinarily. The aim of family and sexual education is to familiarise the students, based on age, with the biological, ethical, cultural and social facts and bearings about sexuality of human beings. It shall prepare for life in partnership and family. Sexual education shall be open for different moral concepts concerning this issue. The importance of marriage and family for the state and the society shall be particularly communicated. Family and sexual education shall develop and support the consciousness for a personal private sphere in marriage and family as well as in personal relationships. A Cooperation with offers from family enrichment and education within the framework of the classes or of the full-time-offers at school is to be aspired.
(2) The aim, content and form of family and sexual education shall be communicated to the parents in good time and shall be discussed with them.
